[베이징올림픽] 자유형 400m 결승전 박태환 금메달

박태환(19, 단국대)이 2008 베이징올림픽에서 금메달을 따냈다. 한국 수영의 첫 쾌거를 이뤄내며 ‘그랜드 슬램’을 달성했다.

박태환은 10일 오전 중국 베이징 국립 수상경기센터(워터큐브)에서 열린 남자 자유형 400m 결선에서 3분41초86으로 자신의 최고신기록을 세우며 금메달을 따냈다. 아시아 신기록이기도 했다.

박태환은 3번 레인에서 출발했다. 2번 레인에는 최대 라이벌 해켓이, 4번 레인에는 예선에서 가장 좋은 성적을 거둔 젠슨이 있었다. 5번 레인에는 중국의 장린이 섰다.

초반 박태환은 해켓과 선두권을 유지하며 2파전 양상을 띠었다. 150m 턴을 한 후 박태환이 선두로 치고 나왔고, 해켓은 쳐졌다. 박태환은 300m를 턴하며 거리차이를 더욱 벌렸다. 박태환은 350m 턴하며 막판 스퍼트, 여유있게 1위로 들어왔다.

이로써, 박태환은 2006 도하 아시안게임 금메달, 2007 세계선수권대회 금메달에 이어 2008 베이징올림픽에서 마침내 금메달을 따내며 그랜드 슬램을 달성했다. 또한, 한국 수영역사상 올림픽 첫 메달을 따냈고, 그것도 금빛 메달이었다.
